I've stepped up a gear now, posters no less.

I've managed to get in contact with a couple of people at IMBA and they siad they'd put posters up for me so I've created some and sent them by email and put some up around town. I'll take some with me to the next Dark and White trailquest, it can't hurt.

I've managed to send an email to High Peak Radio to see if they'll do an interview with me, I really need to get some national expsoure though if I'm going to get routes up the country, looks like I'll have to get in touch the TV people.

Exposure is the key thing here now, without exposure I'll be doing this ride on my own. There's a lot of time between now and the end of May and without some major exposure people just won't be up for it or commit their time until closer to the date, which isn't much use for me, I need to get routes as quickly as possible and get some ideas for numbers and book some accommodation. I presume that most of the routes will be in areas that are busy over the spring/summer months so accommodation might well be difficult, especially if other riders are doing more than one day or staying overnight.

Left messages with Nike and Red Bull on Friday, I'm going to try Adidas on Monday, you don't know until you try but they might want to sponsor the event which would certainly help to give it some more expsoure.

Let's see how it goes.

The first article about the challenge came out in MBR magazine today. Quite a good write up for a news snippet and right in the middle of the page at the front with the rest of the recent news articles.

The trick now is to keep the momentum going.

I've also contacted the TCA (Trailquest) and they've agreed to put a notice in this months newsletter.

I've been waiting for the first article to come out so I can direct others to it and hopefully show some national coverage.

The next steps: High Peak Radio and IMBA. I'm hoping that if High Peak Radio cover it they can spread the word through other local radio stations and get the message up the length of the country. As far as the IMBA go, I'm hoping their love of trails and networks will help me to publicise the defining of a national route up the spine of the country.

Let's see how it goes, I think I've got a lot of work over thge next couple of weeks.
